hs dnow!

Photobucket

im ready. dnow officially starts tomorrow morning. the snow (lbk looked beautiful today btw) delayed us a couple hours, so unofficially our good 'ole sophomore boys decided to all get together anyway and play some capture the flag in the snow. to call it cold outside is an understatement. it hurt to breathe. but we laughed a lot so that made it all good. it's a great mix of the old crew and some brand new kids! love these guys. i wish i would have kept a count of how many times i heard "your mom" tonight. at least six. don't worry mom, i punched them in the face. i told you i'd fight for your honor or something. we then played a little silent football and laughed a lot more. these kids can't keep from laughing so pretty much the entire game was accusations and pointing with one finger. their apologies were priceless and by priceless i mean gross. thumbs up immediately kinda gross. if you've played you know what i mean.

anywhose, it's been a crazy day with finding flights, checking roads, re-working sets, schedules and people and i've seen God in all of it. i've seen Him make everything work out for good today. before this whole thing officially gets started and before i've actually seen randles or branch, i can say that it's been simply a blessing to work with them so far this weekend. they didn't stress, they didn't doubt. just rolled with it. we kept reminding each other that everything is gonna work out. they are all people whose lives make much of God. they just trust Him. and those people are so stinkin' fun to be with. to be around. almost everyone is here safely and i'm so excited for all of us to meet together as a really big family in the morning and throughout the next two days. if you read this blog thing (mom, dad, and liz...oh, and sweetie and popie...i owe you a shout out) then please pray for all the hs kiddos attending. pray that we are safe driving around in all the snow and that God absolutely works on each of us. my hope is that these kids walk away wanting their lives to make much of God. i pray that for me too. i want more.

so, a dnow weekend has been moved to one full saturday and sunday morning. i don't know why, but i'm excited. randles told me tonight to expect great things and that he's ready to go. tonight on the phone he said "adversity molds disciples and that we are learning a great lesson" just by figuring out how to do the weekend. he's right. don't tell him but after i hung up i wrote that down.

God has been working all day today just wanting me to trust Him in adversity. just depend on Him and expect big things no matter how bleak the outlook. it's the first great lesson of the weekend. pretty good start i'd say.

Thinking about you guys today.
God is bigger and bolder than any obstacle you stand in front of. Lay it all on the line bro and watch God move.

Hold nothing back!

Love you!
